Plastic Surgeon Ashraf Emara, who was working in the Kenya Educational Hospital, is the second Egyptian physician and the first surgeon passed away from coronavirus disease in Kenya

CAIRO – 15 November 2020: An Egyptian surgeon in Kenya passed away after being infected with the new coronavirus (COVDI-19) disease, announced the Egyptian Medical Syndicate in a statement on Sunday.
 
Plastic Surgeon Ashraf Emara, who was working in the Kenya Educational Hospital, is the second Egyptian physician and the first surgeon passed away from coronavirus disease in Kenya.
 
The Syndicate said that the surgeon had dedicated his medical career, after graduation, in Kenya where he provided his medical knowledge and experience to teach the African medical students and help Kenyan patients, especially children who were suffering from orofacial cleft, since 2015.

He taught orofacial cleft surgeries to many African students from Kenya, Somalia, Djibouti, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
 
Kenyan doctors and people offered their condolences for the loss of the Egyptian prominent surgeon.
