CAIRO- 31 July 2020: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi extended his best wishes to the Egyptians, congratulating them on Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).

On his official Facebook account, president Sisi said “It is my great pleasure to offer my congratulations to the Egyptians, the Arabs, and the Islamic nation on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha. May Allah bring the blessings of it [the feats] to Egypt, Arab and Muslim nations.”

Eid al-Adha, or the Grand Feast for the Muslims all over the world, is one of the two most important Islamic holidays. It lasts for four days and honors the willingness of Prophet Abraham to sacrifice his first-born son, Ismail, as an act of submission to God’s command.

Egypt’s First Lady Entissar Amer extended her greetings to the Islamic nation and the Egyptian people on the occasion of Muslim’s Eid Al-Adha, “in which the greatest meanings of sacrifice and ransom are embodied.”

The Interior Ministry has deployed police forces intensively nationwide, to secure the celebrations of Muslim’s four-day Eid Al-Adha, during which Muslims slaughter sheep and cows and give meat to the poor.

In this regard, the ministry says it has placed wide security measures to ensure security and discipline and to combat all forms of crime.
