BEIRUT, May 19 (MENA) - The Lebanese authorities decided to reopen mosques only for performing Friday prayers as of May 22 while taking all the preventive measures against coronavirus.
The five daily prayers and Tarawih prayer will be performed at home.
In a statement on Tuesday, Lebanese Awqaf Ministry said that the mosques will be opened gradually to perform the rest of prayers according to the medical reports of doctors on coronavirus pandemic.
Mosques and churches in Lebanon have been closed since March over the COVID 19 outbreak.
