CAIRO – 17 May 2020: In fulfillment of the commands of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, the Egyptian Armed Forces' Engineering Authority renovated the dorms of seven universities so they become suitable to quarantine COVID-19 patients, if needed.

The dorms belong to University of Cairo, University of Ain Shams, University of Helwan, University of Alexandria, University of Mansoura, University of Suez Canal, and University of Asiut.

The renovation included engineering works, rehabilitation of building fronts and main entrances, landscaping, restoration of furniture, kitchens, and toilets, replacement of flooring, and painting of ceilings, internal and external walls.
