Interior Min. continues disinfection of prisons, police facilities to combat COVID-19
CAIRO – 12 May 2020: The Ministry of Interior continued the preventive sterilization of all police installations, police stations and vehicles, as well as prisons across the country according to a schedule.
The move aims to conduct a periodic survey covering all facilities of the Ministry of the Interior, through deploying preventive medicine crews in the ministry's medical services sector. This comes within the framework of an integrated plan that is implemented to disinfect and sterilize all police facilities to protect the recipients from the consequences of the emerging virus.
Preventive medical crews are supported with the latest sterilization and disinfection equipment and take all preventive and precautionary measures necessary to maintain their safety.

The purification and sterilization work aims to provide an appropriate healthy environment that ensures the provision of a safe and healthy umbrella to combat the spread of the virus.
In the same context, Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim el-Terras, chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, revealed that the quantitative production of new disinfection gates by the authority’s factories will start next week, after examining the number of requests during the past period.
Terras said that the step comes as per President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s instructions, and the need to intervene to contribute to confronting the coronavirus through different paths, including the disinfection gates, which were manufactured in accordance with WHO’s requirements.
