Deceased Egyptian physician sacrificed his soul for duty - Ambassador in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY - 8 May 2020: Egypt's ambassador to Kuwait Tarek el Quoni mourned the death of Egyptian doctor Tarek Hussiein Mekhaymar, an ENT physician at Kuwait’s Zein Hospital, who passed away due to complications of the coronavirus pandemic.

Mekhaymar was the first health care worker to die of COVID-19, as he was in the frontline fighting the pandemic, el Quoni said.

The Egyptian physician sacrificed his soul to meet his duty, he added.

The ambassador offered his condolences to the family of the deceased doctor and thanked Kuwaiti Health Minister Basel Al-Sabah for his solace.
