Number of recovered cases at Mallawy hospital rises to 75 - Youm7
CAIRO – 28 April 2020: The number of cases that recovered from coronavirus at Mallawi isolation hospital in Upper Egypt’s Minya governorate rose to 75.
A medical source at the hospital said that a total of 14 cases left the quarantine after testing negative to the virus, while five deaths were recorded.
Mallawi hospital was inaugurated exceptionally to become an isolation hospital to receive positive COVID-19 cases from different governorates.
Minya Governor Osama el-Qady held on Monday a video conference with the hospital's team of doctors and nurses to follow up on the status of the patients, the treatment process and the availability of medical and preventive supplies.
"On Monday, authorities have put 13 families in Egypt’s Beni Suef governorate, south of the capital Cairo, under house quarantine, after coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were detected," the health affairs directorate said.
A nurse in the quarantine hospital in Egypt’s northwestern governorate of Matrouh died from coronavirus, sources revealed, as Egypt has reported a total of 317 COVID-19 deaths since the crisis started.
The Negila Hospital was the first quarantine hospital in Cairo when the crisis started in Egypt in February.
Egypt’s Ministry of Health announced Sunday 215 new coronavirus cases, including two foreigners, while 10 people died from the virus.
