CAIRO, April 13 (MENA) - Egypt's mufti Shawqi Allam urged this year's umrah pilgrims to donate charity to those affected by coronavirus pandemic, needy persons and irregular workers.

In March, Saudi Arabia decided to temporarily suspend Umra (minor pilgrimage) to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

In a statement on Monday said that the mufti called for giving charity in times of crises as it relieves the distress of those in need.

In a published motion graphic video, Dar al-Iftaa called for alleviating the people's sufferings and fulfilling their needs.
