Egypt launched "Be Ready" initiative to counter COVID-19

CAIRO, April 5 (MENA) – The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has launched "Be Ready" initiative for students of faculties of medicine to combat the novel coronavirus.

The ministry detailed in a statement on Sunday that the initiative aims to have qualified doctors to be ready for supporting the health sector to fight the outbreak of COVID-19.

Several faculties of medicine have put the initiative into force for volunteer senior students with practical explanation on how to deal with the virus-infected cases.

The volunteers said they took part in the initiative to serve their country by treating patients when necessary, the note added
