CAIRO, March 28 (MENA) - The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) said on Saturday that an agreement has been reached with the four mobile operators in Egypt to provide a free monthly bundle of 3,000 minutes and 10 gigabytes for the medical and administrative staff working at isolation hospitals in recognition of their role in combating the novel coronavirus.
The authority said that the decision came as part of directives of Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat in support of Egypt’s doctors, who represent the first line of defense against the novel virus.
It added that the decision comes in continuation of initiatives launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to support the state's efforts to confront the virus.
