BERLIN, March 28 (MENA) - The head of the German chancellor's office said that measures to restrict the spread of coronavirus in the country won't be lifted before April 20.

"We are not talking about any easing until April 20. Until then all measures will remain in place," Helge Braun told the Tagesspiegel newspaper.

Chancellor Angela Merkel had already said Thursday that it was too early to discuss when social distancing measures would be lifted.

Braun said he wants to follow a similar approach to how South Korea is tackling the pandemic, using digital tracking to alert people if they have had contact with infected persons.
