CAIRO - 8 March 2020: An Egyptian human rights delegation will meet with rapporteurs and representatives of states and international organizations on the sidelines of the 43rd Regular Session of the Human Rights Council.

The session, running from Feb. 24-March 20, will witness in the second week of March the adoption of the third Universal Periodic Review recommendations to Egypt that were outlined in November.

The noted recommendations involve the signing of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. The supported recommendations include education, economy, women and children.

Egypt’s delegation include Saeed Abdel Hafez, head of the Forum for Development and Human Rights Dialogue, Rabaha Fathy, head of the Women for Human Rights Association, and Aida Nour el-Din, head of the Women and Development Association.
