CAIRO - 29 February 2020: Prime Minister Mustafa Madouli inspected the quarantine at Hurghada Airport on Saturday during his tour at the International Hurghada Airport to be sure of the medical examination procedures for visitors coming from abroad.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Al-Anani,Minister of Public Business Sector Hisham Tawfik as well as Governor of the Red Sea, Amr Hanafi and other senior officials.



Madbouli stressed that Egypt has not recorded any cases with the disease currently or even carrying the virus.

The Prime Minister also said that the health examination procedures in Egyptian airports and ports are done in a professional manner, confirmed that the Egyptian government has a plan to face these epidemics.

He announced that the Egyptian government is preparing hospitals in all governorates, similar to the Hospital in El-Nagila in Marsa Matrouh governorate in case of any emergency cases.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Hurghada Museum which is the first museum to be held in partnership with the private sector.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities placed several golden coins as well as a rare copy from the Quran. Hurghada Museum will display a total of 2000 artifacts.

Madbouli also inspected the first factory of solid waste recycling in Hurghada governorate.

Madbouli toured the plant, which is established in cooperation with an NGO on an area of 22,500 square meters with a production capacity of up to 400 tons a day.

The premier praised cooperation between the NGO and the Red Sea governorate, highlighting the important role played by NGOs to serve society, optimize the use of waste and preserve the environment.
