CAIRO - 11 February 2020: “The National Campaign for Early Detection of the Peripheral Nerve Disease, which comes as part of the 100 Million Healthy Lives Initiative,detected 360,000 citizens in 27 governorates,” said Minister of Health Hala Zayed on Tuesday.
Diabetic patients are prone to suffer from the Peripheral Nerve Disease and 70 percent of diabetic patients suffer from neuritis."Egypt has 8.5 million diabetics and ranks eighth in the world in terms of the number of diabetics," the minister said.
The minister added that the ministry has equipped more than 200 permanent centers to provide free treatment for diabetes as part of the 100 Million Healthy Livesinitiative.
