CAIRO, July 29 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and King Abdullah II of Jordan affirmed on Monday the importance of resuming Palestinian-Israeli peace process talks.

They asserted that efforts must be intensified to restart the long-stymied peace talks in line with the international resolutions and the Arab peace initiative and on the basis of the two-state solution, with the establishment of a Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi.

King Abdullah arrived here earlier in the day on an official visit for talks with President Sisi.

The Jordanian monarch will head for Tunisia after Egypt to offer condolences for the death of Tunisian president Beji Caid Essebsi.
