BAGHDAD - 2 June 2018: Iraqi security forces found weapons and explosives in sites belonging to Islamic State (IS) terrorist group in various areas of Nineveh, al-Anbar and Baghdad provinces.

The spokesman for the Iraqi security media center told the US-funded Radio Sawa on Saturday that security troops of Nineveh police acted upon intelligence information and managed to discover a cache containing large quantity of explosives affiliated to IS terrorists.

Security forces dismantled dozens of explosive devices and cleared a number of roads in al Anbar, the spokesman said, adding that troops also managed to detonate 140 explosives.

Meanwhile, security forces in Baghdad seized 370 shells of homemade Katyusha rockets. They seized the shells inside a car that was on way from al Anbar to Baghdad and arrested all people in it, he said.
