Egypt condemned Tuesday the terrorist attack carried out by the Islamic State (IS) against a military post in Iraq's Salaheldin governorate and that killed an officer and four soldiers.
The ministry stressed in the statement the country's fixed stance and rejection to all forms of violence, asserting its full solidarity with Pakistan in the face of extremism and terrorism.

The ministry expressed condolences to the government and people of Iraq.
Congressmen Chuck Fleischmann, Guy Reschenthaler and Andy Barr hailed Egypt’s partnership with the US to achieve stability and peace in the region and support counterterrorism efforts.
