We need programs to identify brilliant minds: President Sisi

CAIRO – 15 October 2017: “Please, move swiftly to launch small and medium projects. Articulate programs to identify brilliant minds. We will grant them financial, incubation, and marketing services,” President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi addressed ministers and officials on Sunday.

That was during the graduation ceremony of the students in the Telecommunication Technology Initiative held at the conference center.

The president thanked the Ministry of Youth for monitoring that initiative; highlighting that Egypt does not have mechanisms enabling the state to reach brilliant individuals. “We would sponsor them until they are able to push us forward and lead our administration,” the president said.

Sisi said that the state has carried out two initiatives so far, and that three others will be launched. There is another one also sponsored by the Armed Forces. He stated that these initiatives will be boosted to be up to 400 as per the suggestion of Prime Minister Sherif Ismail.

“I call for media to showcase and support the talents we have witnessed today, and not just the initiative,” the president concluded.
