CAIRO - 26 Aug 2017: Cairo Criminal Court decided on Saturday to adjourn until September 26 the trial of 24 defendants of Muslim Brotherhood (MB) over charges of carrying out terrorist acts.
They are charged of committing terrorist acts, using explosive materials, in addition to possessing arms which they planned to use in acts of violence against state institutions and facilities.
The defendants were trained to assassinate public figures and manufacture explosives.
The defendants had planted explosives outside an educational institution in Cairo's Nasr City district.
Nine out of the total 24 are on the run.
The defendants were seeking to topple the ruling power by force and attack police facilities as well as public and private ones.
