AMMAN - 18 August 2017: Jordan strongly condemned Friday the terrorist attack in downtown Barcelona in Spain on Thursday evening, which left 13 dead and several others wounded.

The Minister of State for Media Affairs and Spokesman for the Jordanian Government Mohamed Al Momani said Jordan's embassy in Barcelona follows up the developments of the attack to learn about the nationalities of the victims.

Al Momani explained that this cowardly attack reflects the horror of terrorism and its perpetrators, stressing his country's rejection to the inhumane crimes committed by terrorists against innocent civilians.

He underlined the urgent need to combine international efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms.

In addition, he expressed the Jordanian government's condolences to its Spanish counterpart and people, as well as the families of the victims, wishing speedy recovery to the wounded.
