Jordan intercepts, downs four Iranian missiles over its airspace

CAIRO – 13 July 2026: Air defense systems intercepted and downed four missiles that entered Jordanian airspace from Iranian territory early Monday morning, according to a military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces.

The military source confirmed that the interception operation was executed with high efficiency as part of standard operational procedures to protect the Kingdom's sovereignty, security, and public safety. The operation resulted in no casualties or material damage.

Teams from the Royal Jordanian Engineering Corps successfully handled and secured the missile debris that fell across several locations. The technical and security procedures were carried out swiftly to ensure the complete safety of citizens and local property.
