Axios: Expected Gaza agreement may include 7-9 week ceasefire

CAIRO - 4 January 2025: Al-Qahera News TV Channel reported a breaking news quoting Axios; the American News website as saying that the first phase of the expected Gaza agreement may include a ceasefire for a period ranging between 7 and 9 weeks.

 

Axios also mentioned there is cautious optimism among Israeli officials about the possibility of reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza in the coming weeks, and gaps still exist in almost all issues in the negotiations.

 

The Israeli occupation forces continue to launch hundreds of raids and artillery shelling and commit crimes in various parts of the Gaza Strip, commit bloody massacres against civilians, and commit horrific crimes in the areas of penetration, amid a catastrophic humanitarian situation as a result of the siege and the displacement of more than 90% of the population.

 

The Israeli occupation aircraft destroyed entire residential blocks in the Gaza Strip, as part of the comprehensive destruction policy pursued by the occupation in its ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 2023.

 

Thousands of martyrs and wounded have not yet been recovered from under the rubble, due to the continued bombing and the dangerous conditions on the ground, in light of the stifling siege of the Strip and strict restrictions on the entry of fuel and urgent vital aid to alleviate the catastrophic humanitarian conditions.
