CAIRO – 15 November 2024: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received the credentials of Ambassador Barakat El Leithy, who commenced his duties as the Ambassador of Egypt to Kyiv at the beginning of November 2024.
The credential presentation ceremony took place at the historic Saint Sophia Cathedral in the Ukrainian capital followed by a session discussing aspects of the bilateral relations between both countries and ways to enhance them.
Zelensky extended his greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, expressing his commitment to pushing forward efforts aimed to enhance cooperation with Egypt in the upcoming period.
He also underlined his keenness on launching several promising projects that benefit the peoples of both countries.
El Leithy, on his part, affirmed his keenness to enhance bilateral relations between Egypt and Ukraine in the near future.
