This came during his participation in the consultative ministerial meeting of Arab foreign ministers, held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Egypt will continue its diligent efforts to enable the Palestinian Authority to resume its governance and administration duties and enforce the law in the Gaza Strip, the minister said, noting the Egyptian initiatives with regional and international partners aimed at expanding recognition of the Palestinian state.

He emphasized the need to continue with efforts to confront Israeli policies aimed at preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state, taking into account the approaching anniversary of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and Israel's continued disregard for all international resolutions aimed at achieving a ceasefire.

He stressed the importance of utilizing upcoming international and regional forums to rally international support for the Palestinian cause, within the framework of a comprehensive approach to implement the two-state solution and establish the Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
