CAIRO - 7 July 2024: The Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue emphasized on Saturday “full coordination” with the government to implement the outcomes of the dialogue’s first phase, and “permanent cooperation” with the new cabinet on various issues enriching discussions recommendations.

The Board of Trustees thanked Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly for appointing two members of the Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue as ministers within the new formation, which reflects the state’s appreciation and support for the National Dialogue.

This builds more bridges between the National Dialogue and the government.

On Saturday, the National Dialogue discussed a number of issues that were not discussed in the first phase. An urgent agenda is being prepared for the board, most notably pretrial detention legislation.

The National Dialogue Board of Trustees explained that the urgent issues requested by the government will be put in place and will be discussed completely freely, such as the issue of converting from in-kind to cash support, and the new high school system.

The board decided to meet next Saturday to finally set the urgent agenda for these and other issues.
