Egypt’s FM to receive his German counterpart in Cairo on Monday

CAIRO – 24 March 2024: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will meet with his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock in the Egyptian Foreign Ministry headquarters in the new administrative capital, according to a statement released by the ministry.

After holding a bilateral meeting between the two Ministers, another meeting will convene for the delegations between both sides, the statement added.

In January 2024, Baerbock embarked on a tour to Middle East countries including Egypt, where she and Shoukry addressed the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip. Both Ministers also tackled the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and the restoration of political prospects pertinent to the two-state solution.

Since the 7th of October 2023, Israel has killed 32,226 Palestinians and injured 74,518 others, the majority of whom are women and children, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
