CAIRO – March 8, 2024: on the International Women’s Day, which marks on March 8, Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid highlighted the suffering of women in Gaza mid the ongoing Israeli war on this besieged strip

Israel has killed 30,878 Palestinian people and injured 72,402 others since October 7, 2023, announced the Palestinian Ministry in the Gaza Strip on Friday.
In addition to the devastating loss of thousands of women's lives in the Gaza Strip, those who remain are enduring severe deprivation of basic necessities such as water, food, electricity, and hygienic services, particularly impacting pregnant women and new mothers.
The dire situation has forced several women to resort to drastic measures, such as shaving their hair due to the scarcity of water for washing. Furthermore, many girls and women have been compelled to rely on oral contraceptives as a substitute for proper menstrual hygiene products, which are in short supply.
