Egypt, Palestine pressure Jordan into cancelling Biden meeting

CAIRO - 18 October 2023: Informed sources have said Egypt and Palestine put pressure on Jordan to cancel a meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden.

The meeting was scheduled to be held in Amman on Wednesday morning. 

The sources said that the decision to cancel the meeting came after the brutal Israeli bombing of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, leaving hundreds of deaths and injuries Tuesday evening.

The bombing stirred protests in the majority of Arab countries because the bombing targeted children and civilians.
