On his X account [formally known as twitter], Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said the meeting was held on the sidelines of the third round of the Japan-Arab Political Dialogue hosted at the headquarters of the Arab League (AL).

The spokesman added the meeting stressed the three countries' commitment to continuing the expansion of trilateral cooperation to cover a wide range of areas, which are to serve the benefit of countries in the region.

The spokesman stated the three ministers agreed on the necessity of achieving a just, lasting and comprehensive peace in the Middle East that ends Israel’s occupation of all Palestinian and Arab lands which it has usurped since 1967, including Al Quds (East Jerusalem).

The tripartite mechanism was launched in August 2021 and the first round of ministerial consultations were held via video-conference in March 2022, while Cairo hosted the second round in September 2022
