Egypt releases 284K tons of corn, soybeans worth $141million: Agriculture Minister

CAIRO- 22 August 2023: Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture El-Sayed El-Qusair announced the release of 284,000 tons of corn and soybeans, worth about $141 million during the period from 4/8/2023 to 17/8/2023.

He added that the release included 224,000 tons of corn, worth about $81 million, and about 60,000 tons of soybeans, worth about $45 million, as well as feed additives worth about $15 million.

Al-Qusayr explained that the total that was released during the period from (October 16, 2022 to August 17, 2023) is 7.2 million tons, including 5.2 million tons of corn, 2 million tons of soybeans and feed additives, with a total amount of $3.4 billion.
