CAIRO – 7 August 2023: Egypt, Jordan Prime Ministers witnessed on Monday the signing of 12 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to enhance cooperation between the two countries at various levels, including vocational training, planning, media, insurance, and social affairs.
During a joint press conference between Egypt’s Prime Minster, Mustafa Madbouli and his Jordanian counterpart Bisher Khasawneh, Madbouly, said that the relationship between Egypt and Jordan is now moving towards more strategic ties through number of important projects that will achieve mutual benefit for both of the two countries.
He added that they discussed strengthening the power line between Egypt and Jordan to reach 2,000 megawatts, and exploiting the infrastructure between the two countries.
For his part, the Jordanian Primer Bisher Khasawneh, welcomed his Egyptian counterpart, Madbouli.
Ne noted that during their meetings, they reviewed all achievements both of Egypt and Jordan managed to establish during the past period. He also explained that they discussed the smooth passage of trucks between the two countries without any obstacles.
In a press conference, Khasawneh indicated that raising the level of cooperation in Health and medicine with Egypt was discussed.
The Jordanian Prime Minister also affirmed that the relations between Egypt and Jordan have always been ‘dynamic’, especially at the level of economic and trade relations, in addition to the distinguished political relations.
He referred to the possibilities of further joint cooperation between the two countries in light of the changes the world is witnessing, such as the effects of the Corona pandemic, and the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian crisis, along with the challenges of climate change that require more efforts and work, in a way that enhances economic integration, whether at the bilateral or regional levels.
Egypt’s Prime Minster Mostafa Madbouli along with his Jordanian counterpart Bisher Khasawneh headed on Monday the 31st session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee at the Jordanian Capital, Amman.
Jordan's Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Al Shamali and Ambassador of Jordan in Cairo and Jordan's permanent representative to the Arab League (AL) Amjad Adayleh were among those who received the premier upon his arrival at Amman Civil Airport.
