CAIRO – 8 July 2023: Egypt’s newly-launched “100 Healthy Days” healthcare campaign that targets 105 million people nationwide has provided over 4.77 million services since it kicked off on 25 June until Friday.

The campaign uses mobile clinics and health centers nationwide to provide early detection and free treatment services for citizens and foreigners residing in Egypt with regard to chronic diseases and cancer.

This includes early detection of hearing impairment and genetic disorders in newborns, Hepatitis C, renal failure and carcinomas.

The campaign runs every day from 9 AM to 9 PM with trained medical cadres serving citizens. The services are provided for free.

Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has highlighted the need to intensify awareness about the goals of the campaign, affirming its importance in boosting comprehensive health awareness among Egyptian family members.

Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and the health minister launched the campaign on 25 June, which aims to intensify the objectives of the national healthcare initiatives under the broader “100 Million Seha” presidential initiative.

On Friday, the campaign provided 7,577 healthcare services as part of the presidential initiative to support women’s health and more than 5,000 services as part of the presidential initiative to support the health of mothers and fetuses, the Ministry of Health said.

Also, 637 services to issue pre-marriage health certificates have been issued and 16,413 people have benefited from family planning services.

Meanwhile, the health teams have provided awareness and educational services to around 29,000 citizens across public places, clubs and malls nationwide.

Also, 9,214 citizens have filled applications to obtain health services under the initiative to detect cancerous tumors.
