CAIRO - 6 March 2022: Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives Aguila Saleh has stressed commitment to engaging in UN-led efforts aimed at reaching a quick constitutional solution to the current crisis in the Arab country.
Saleh, in a meeting with US Ambassador in Tripoli Richard Norland Sunday, said the national electoral committee does play a decisive role in this regard.
Both Saleh and Norland agreed that conflicts of the past should not be revived.
The meeting focused on efforts to ease tensions and avoid violence to be able to conduct the parliamentary and presidential elections as soon as possible.
