CAIRO - 22 September 2021: Egypt has enetered the fourth wave of the Coronavirus pandemic, with the peak of this wave is expected within 10 days or two weeks, announced Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Adviser to the President of the Republic for Health and Preventive Affairs.
He stated that the Corona epidemic is a global epidemic that the Egyptian state deals with according to its developments with great accuracy.
During TV statements, Dr. Taj el-Din said that there are directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the government to take all precautionary and preventive measures in university and pre-university education, in addition to vaccinating all workers.
Commenting on the vaccination of children with the Corona vaccine during the coming period, "Tag El-Din" said: "Egypt is dealing with the pandemic with high scientific professionalism with the aim of protecting citizens and young people... We are working to protect children and the state is interested in this."
Egypt is among the first countries to secure Covid-19 vaccine shots, and the State is handling this file in accordance with a clear-cut plan, Tag El-Din added.
He added that the option of "inoculating children against the Coronavirus is on the table."
Commending the government's successful efforts to contain the previous three waves, the presidential adviser emphasized the need for stricter compliance with anti-Coronavirus precautions, given the remarkable increase in the number of infections in the country.
