In a statement on Monday, the Spokesperson of the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said that 14 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 16,885.

As many as 399 patients were discharged from hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recoveries to 247,125, he added.

Egypt has announced it has entered the fourth wave of Coronavirus as infection rates climbed up. The Ministry of Health also announced that five different vaccines are now available in nearly 539 vaccine centers across the country against coronavirus.

The Ministry explained that all of the five vaccines have emergency approvals from the Egyptian Medicines Authority. The vaccines are: Sputnik V, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Johnson& Johnson and Sinovac.
