CAIRO – 1 September 2021: Adviser to Egyptian President for health and preventive affairs Mohamed Taj el-Din stated that the fourth wave of Coronavirus has started in Egypt, expecting no soon end to the pandemic in the coming years.

Awad Taj El-Din added, in an interview in a TV interview on Wednesday, “we have exceeded 200 infection cases recorded per day, and this means that there is a significant increase in infections, especially the serious ones that need hospitalization.”

“The increase in infections indicates that Egypt has already entered the fourth wave of the Corona virus,” he continued, pointing out that there is an increase in the number of cases of Corona infection at the level of hospital admissions and the need for critical care.
