Anti-COVID-19 vaccination will be annually: Vacsera official

CAIRO – 30 June 2021: Head of the Department of Allergy and Immunology at Vacsera Amjad Al-Haddad said that there will be an annual vaccination against Coronavirus.

“The vaccine gives immunity against the Corona virus by 90 percent, and contributes to preventing the deterioration of the situation, but it does not prevent infection,” Al-Haddad said, as he called on citizens to apply to get vaccinated.  

He explained that the Corona virus has mutated three times thus far, and that this is a strange thing, adding that the nature of mutated viruses requires annual vaccination.

Amjad Al-Haddad continued saying that we need to co-exist with the virus that is not to end soon, adding that there is no medical harm from receiving two different types of vaccines.
