CAIRO – 17 May 2021: Egypt’s Sovereign Fund, Tahya Misr, will collects all financial contributions by banks and companies to buy the anti-coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines, besides EGP 2 billion allocations of the State's General Budget, announced Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli during a meeting with Minister of Health Hala Zayed.
The meeting was held to follow up on the development of the coronavirus pandemic situation in Egypt after the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations.
During the meeting, Zayed reassured the Prime Minister that the oxygen reserves need for the coronavirus patients are safe, stressing the availability of the necessary medicines and medical supplies.
Zayed added that all prisoners will be vaccinated with anti-Coronavirus vaccines.
She revealed that Egypt will receive a shipment of raw materials to start producing two million doses of the "Sinovac" vaccine in the coming few days.
