CAIRO - 15 April 2021: There are directives issued by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to expand the program of administering vaccines across the republic to curb the spread of COVID-19, said Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli.

Madbouli's statements came during a meeting attended by Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed who said her ministry established 200 centers for administering the vaccine across the republic free of charge.

The minister said the centers work with full capacity round the clock during the fasting month of Ramadan to meet the medical needs of citizens.

Minister Zayed said that 4.5 million doses of COVAX vaccines will arrive in Egypt before the end of May, adding the ministry contracted with the Chinese side to receive 20 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine.
