CAIRO-13 September 2020: Arsenal Egyptian midfielder marked his return to the Premier League with a 3-0 away victory over Fulham at the opening game of the Premier League.
Elneny, who spent the last season on a loan to Besiktas, had a wonderful game and formed a formidable partnership with Granit Xhaka in the midfield.
"I feel really happy and I have to thank Mikel Arteta for giving me a chance to play," Elneny told Arsenal’s official website after the game.
Elneny and his teammates dominated the game from the start to the end and secured their first victory in the league thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Gabriel Magalhaes and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised the Egyptian midfielder, saying "Mo has been excellent since day one in training. He is a player that I know really well because we played together. I know what he can give us and how willing he is to improve. Today he was phenomenal."
Arsenal new signing Willian showed his class in his debut as he teed up Arsenal's three goals in the game.
