French Barcelona players encourage Dembele to join them

CAIRO – 21 June 2017 June: Barcelona players Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne, encouraged French national teammate Ousmane Dembele to join them at the Catalan club next season on June 18.

“He is grown up and I will let the decision to him but he knows I will welcome him with open arms in Barcelona,” exclaimed 23-year-old Umtiti while speaking to the French program Telefoot on Sunday.

Lucas Digne, Barcelona left back, supported Umtiti’s encouragement and stated, “He is a great player, the statistics speak for him and I will always welcome him in Barcelona.”
When asked about Dembele’s future, his agent Moussa Sissoko told L’equipe, “Ousmane is on holiday. I can't comment on all the information that appears about his future.”
Sissoko added, "We do know there are a number of big clubs interested in him, which is a form of recognition for his good performances.”

Dembele, currently with Borussia Dortmund, scored 10 goals in 36 games this season according to whoscored.com.

Rumors have linked the Borussia forward with signing to Barcelona this summer.
