CAIRO – 28 February 2020: Tunisian giants, Esperance, are looking for a ground-breaking victory on Friday night when they face Zamalek at Cairo stadium at CAF Champions League quarter-finals first leg.

Esperance hope to be the first Tunisian side to defeat Zamalek in Egypt as the White Knights faced Tunisian clubs 14 times at home and they managed to get the win on 10 occasions and the other four games ended with a draw.

This game will be a repeat of CAF Super Cup clash which ended with a 3-1 victory for the Egyptian side who clinched their fourth Super Cup title.

Zamalek will miss their attacking midfielder, Youssef Obama, who suffered from a slight knee injury but he will be ready for the second leg in Tunisia.

The white knights’ expected starting line-up for the game consists of:

Goalkeeper:
Mohamed Abo Gabal

Defenders:
Hazem Imam, Mohamed Abdelshafy, Mahmoud Alaa, Mahmoud Hamdy

Midfielders:
Fejani Sassi, Tarek Hamid, Ahmed Sayed Zizou

Strikers:
Mohamed Ounajem, Achraf Bencharki and Mostafa Mohamed

Zamalek players aim to continue their continental success in recent years as the club won CAF Confederation Cup title last season, which is their first continental title since 2003.
