CAIRO-22 February 2020: Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho, backed the team players after their 2_1 loss against Chelsea at London derby.

Tottenham suffered their second loss in one week as they lost 1-0 at home to Leipzig on Wednesday at the first leg of UEFA Champions League round of 16.

"I am very proud of the players, they gave absolutely everything. We don't have a striker. Our attacking players are not strikers and are in huge levels of fatigue, so very, very difficult for us." Mourinho said after the game.

Chelsea opened the score at the first half by Olivier Giroud and doubled the score at the second half through an amazing shot from Marcos Alonso whileChelsea defender, Rudiger, scored an own goal two minutes before the final whistle.

Spurs are in a tough situation as the club main strikers, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane, are injured and the team fails to create many chances to score.

Mourinho added "In the last part of the game when Chelsea was scared of the 2-1 we didn't have that presence, that power, we didn't have that to do more than what we did."
