Al Ahly borrows Montiero for Agadir Table Tennis games

CAIRO - 17 June 2017: Al Ahly’s women’s table tennis team will use 29-year-old Romanian Daniela Dodean Monteiro on loan during the African Club Championships in Agadir, Morocco, according to the International Table Tennis Federation’s website. The championships will be held June 28-30.

Montiero was the 2016 European Mixed Doubles champion. She has won several titles since she started to participate in the official tournaments, including:

- 2012 European Championships – Women’s Doubles Champion
- 2012 London Olympics – Romania Table Tennis Athlete
- 2009 Pro Tour Grand Finals – Under 21 Women’s Singles Runner-up
- 2009 European Championships – Women’s Doubles Champion
- 2009 U.S. Open – Women’s Doubles Champion
- 2008 Poland Open – Women’s Doubles Champion
- 2006 WJC Poland – Girls Singles Champion
- 2006-2005 European Youth Championships – Girls Singles Champion, according to Butterfly website (the player sponsor)

Al-Ahly will participate in the African championship in the men's and women's competitions, which begin June 28. The draw will be held Jule 27, only 24 hours before the tournament starts.

Al Ahly holds the title in the men's and women's from the last tournament and is the champion of the Premier League for the tenth consecutive season.
