Kenyan club Wassito has named Melis Medo as the new coach of their football team.

According to the website "nairobinews", the Kenyan club decided to appoint an American coach of Egyptian origins.

Melis Medo was replaced by Stanley Ocombe, who was sacked last week because of poor results.

"I'm here to try to win the games we are going to play," Medo said after taking over as coach. "All we need is to play better and get good results."

Melis Medo returned to the Kenyan league for a third time, having previously coached Mount Kenya United, the relegation side, and also coaching the Suvapaka team.

Wazito, who was coached by Melis Medo, is 13th out of 18 teams.
