Capello joins Jiangsu Suning for €10m

CAIRO –12 June 2017: The Italian Champions League winner coach Fabio Capello was at Jiangsu Suning club to sign a €10 million ($11.2 million approximately) 18-month contract. Sky Sports Italia showed footage on Thursday of him visiting the training ground, Football-Italia reported on Sunday.

Capello is expected to bring with him Gianluca Zambrotta, the former AC Milan and Italian national team player, as well as the ex-Milan caretaker manager Cristian Brocchi.
The Italian coach’s history is full of titles as a player and as a coach. In all, he won five Italian league titles (four with Milan and one with Roma), two Spanish League titles with Real Madrid, four Italian Super Cups, one UEFA Super Cup and a Champions League title with AC Milan in the 1993/1994 season, according to Transfer Markt website.

The Chinese Super League has in the last few years attracted a many number of players and coaches like former Chelsea midfielder Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Júnior (aka Oscar), former Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, former Al-Ahly striker Malick Evouna and the Argentinean striker Carlos Tevez, whose deal recorded the most expensive salary in football history with $41 million per year.

Capello will join his fellow compatriot Fabio Cannavaro, the TJ Quanjian coach, in the race to win the Chinese Super League.
