CAIRO, 29 July 2019:Handball Youth Egyptian national team live a state of enthusiasm & joy after winning the Bronze medal in the Handball Youth World Cup.

Egypt faced Portugal to decide the Bronze medal winner in the Handball World Championship held in Spain at 02:00 p.m.



The players room witnessed a state of joy as the coaching staff alongside the players celebrated winning the Bronze medal for the first time in the history of Egyptian youth team.

The Egyptian team surprised handball fans after they produced a great performance throughout the competition and reached the semi-final unbeaten.

The World Cup draw put Egypt in the group of death alongside Sweden, France, South Korea, Nigeria and Australia.


Egypt achieved five wins at the group to reach the second round as group leaders. Tha Pharaohs also defeated Serbia & Norway in their way to the semi-finals.


Egyptian Handball national team squad includes: AbdelrahmanTaha, Abdelrahman Hameed, GalalKhorshid, AbdelazizEhab, Shehab Abdallah, Hassan Walid, Seif El Deraa, Ahmed Hesham, Ahmed Rady, HazemMamdouh, Mohsen Ramadan, Mohamed El Azhary, Omar Khaled, Omar Samy, Khaled Waleed and Yasser Mohamed.
