CAIRO – 10 December 2017: Pep Guardiola appeared in the press room of the City Football Academy to talk about the Manchester derby scheduled for the evening of December 10.

Before the ball rolls at Old Trafford, the Catalan coach explained the challenge of playing at the “Stadium of Dreams”, and his relationship with the coach he has had the most rivalry with during his career: Jose Mourinho.

"I'm a coach to play this kind of game. It's fascinating for us to go to Old Trafford," Guardiola confessed, thirsty for the challenge of playing against Manchester United. It can be the best derby since his arrival in the Premier. "Both of us had more time with our teams, so I would say that it can be one of the highest-level derbies," he commented.

At the same time, the Spanish coach acknowledged that he doesn’t have a particular feeling about playing against the Portuguese Mourinho. "It is not special to play against Mourinho. It is special for the fact of wanting to win, but the same against Chelsea or Liverpool. With him I have a good relationship," he also claimed.

"The doubts are in Kompany – he noticed something in his body; he knows it better than anyone. We will see how it evolves; we do not know if he will be able to play."
