CAIRO – 28 October 2017: Manchester United secured a valuable three points after they won their match against Tottenham 1-0, thanks to Manchester United winger Anthony Martial, in the tenth round of the English Premier League.

Tottenham was without elite striker Harry Kane due to injury, but Jose Mourinho, Manchester United`s manager, used his practicality to the maximum expression to decide the clash, thanks to Martial, who scored the winning goal after an assist from Romelu Lukaku, Manchester`s striker.

Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham`s manager, dominated the ball most of the time, but he failed to score in Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea`s net.

Tottenham tried to impose themselves on Mourinho`s defensive tactics with three center back players, who dried up Lukaku, Marcus Rashford and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Manchester United`s attackers.

Martial took the lead in the 81st minute when De Gea sent a long ball, which was well played by Lukaku, to Martial behind the Hotspurs` back line. Then, the Frenchman did the rest to break the back of the whole defense. He stood in front of Lloris and put the ball above the French goalkeeper.

The result is a setback to Tottenham's aspirations in the league. The Hotspurs will remain in third place with 20 points, further away from United, which stays in second place with 23 points and awaits the stumbling of Manchester City, the leader, in the upcoming matches.
