CAIRO –25 August 2017: Egypt beat China 4-1 at the FIVB U 23 World Cup on Thursday night, qualifying for fifth place against Japan on Friday.

Egypt dominated the game winning the first and the second sets 15-12 and 15-13 respectively. China returned to the game winning the third set 15-12.

The Egyptian players’ desire to win the game and make the Egyptian fans who packed the hall happy was decisive. The Egyptian team won the fourth set 19-17 before finishing the game the best way, winning the last set 15-8 to win the game 4-1 against a tough opponent.

Hisham Ewais, the Egyptian national team spiker, scored 20 points and helped his team win the game.

Egypt’s last game in the tournament will be the same as their opening game. The team will face Japan on Friday to decide the 5th place winner.

On the other hand, Argentina defeated Cuba 4-1 to meet Russia, who beat Brazil 4-3 at the tournament’s final. Russia seeks to win their second title in history while Argentinians hopes to win their first title.

Cairo is hosting the tournament from August 18 to 25.
